Spicy Chicks Gourmet: A Mother Daughter Story
Small businesses are different than other types of business or corporations because of the heart behind the services they provide. Have you ever wondered what drives this excellent customer care and service? It’s because of the story behind the brand that continues to drive those involved. We would like to share our story and how we came to be Spicy Chicks Gourmet.
How It All Started
It all started in 2006 when our founding mother-daughter duo began to realize people’s lives were getting busier and busier. They noticed the gap between people’s available time and the need and desire to cook up something tasty. It was at this point in time when Spicy Chicks Gourmet was born.
Connie, the mother of the duo, has always been the chef in the family and was the one to take lead when it came to cookouts and holiday cooking. As a result, when the opportunity arose, she jumped at the chance to work with her youngest daughter to create wonderful recipes. As the business took off, she discovered that surrounding herself with fun people at craft shows and influencing others to bring cooking back home brought back a simple joy to her life.
As it’s often been said, the apple does not fall far from the tree. Misty, the daughter of the duo, has had a passion for food and tasty treats for as long as she can recall.
“I can still remember sitting in front of the TV before Sunday school and shouting out, ‘Just 5 more minutes, Mom!’ because I couldn’t get enough of Justin Wilson and Julia Child.” Misty says.
Growing up eating home-cooked meals set the precedence for Misty for a taste and quality that is difficult to find at a drive through. While drive-throughs have unfortunately become the norm in America today, with the birth of Spicy Chicks, Misty has not only been able to pursue a love for cooking but also helps even the busiest of people prepare tasty food for them and their families.

We live such busy lives that sometimes it’s hard to slow down and picking up a deli-prepared party tray seems like the best option. Spicy Chicks Gourmet’s goal is to make life a little easier for everyone from the busy parents to the highly trained chef.
Spicy Chicks Gourmet provides an array of chip/veggie dips, seasonings to make your flavored oils, simple dessert mixes, pickling spices, and BBQ rubs. Our products are simple to use with easy directions on the back of the package, and they also come with easy recipe ideas to really “WOW” your guests.
